Joining and Sharing Boards

Create a board or join one using its six-digit frequency. If the board has a passcode, enter that six-digit passcode too. Share these codes only with the people you want to join.

If a board does not load, check your internet connection and confirm the frequency and passcode with the person who shared it. Both devices must use the same server. Changes sync while devices are connected.

Anyone who successfully joins can see and change the shared board. A board frequency is an access code, not a user account. Switchboard has no public board directory or social feed.

Switchboard Pro and Restoring Purchases

Switchboard Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks larger boards, board passcodes, and the Apple Watch companion. The App shows your local price before purchase.

To restore Pro, sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account used for the purchase, open Switchboard Settings, and select Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account on your other devices. Family Sharing is available for eligible family members under Apple's purchase-sharing settings.

If Pro is still unavailable, contact support with the app version and a description of the problem. Never send your Apple Account password, payment card information, or board passcode.

Using Apple Watch

Purchase or restore Pro on the paired iPhone, then open Switchboard on Apple Watch. If the Watch still asks for Pro, use Restore Purchases on the Watch. Keep both devices connected while the purchase status and board context synchronize.

The Watch companion can use the board shared from the iPhone. A network connection and access to the same board are required for live updates.

Report a Concern

To report abusive, unlawful, or infringing board content or unwanted access, email a content report. Include the board frequency, approximate time, and a description of the concern. You may include a screenshot if it helps; avoid sending sensitive information or passcodes.

You can leave the board immediately and remove it from Recent Boards. If you need a new space for trusted participants, create a new board and share its new codes privately. Pro boards can use a passcode for additional access protection.

Reports go to the developer for investigation and appropriate action. Switchboard's content rules prohibit unlawful, infringing, and abusive material.

Privacy and Deleting Data

To delete a shared board and its content from the active service, use Delete Board in the App and confirm the action. This affects everyone on that board. Leaving a board only disconnects your device; it does not delete the shared content.

Remove saved entries from Recent Boards to remove their app-managed saved passcodes and recent-board records. Apple synchronization and backup copies may be retained separately. Uninstalling alone may leave Keychain or iCloud data.

Inactive boards may be deleted after both 30 days without an edit and 7 days without a view. See the Privacy Policy for data handling, retention, and available choices. For a privacy or deletion request, contact the developer.

Contact Support

Email [email protected], or use Contact Us in the App's Settings. Include your device model, operating system, app version, and the steps that led to the issue. Review any diagnostic details in the email draft before sending.
